If you frequent Fortune Centre, you might have come across a new cafe located on the first floor of the mall. Crescent Waffle & Sandwich Shop is a cosy East-meets-West cafe that specialises in pandan waffles, barista-brewed coffee, and hearty sandwiches.

Their signature Pandan Waffle is priced at $2 for the plain version. Classic fillings include Kaya, Blueberry, and Peanut Butter, and are priced at $2.60 each. There’s also a nutty Black Sesame ($2.80) flavour for those who want something different. Additional fillings go for $0.60 each.

The waffle batter is made with fresh pandan leaves, so you get a natural green hue and a lovely pandan fragrance. Each piece is made to order.

For those who want something more satiating, check out their small selection of sandwiches on offer. The Peri-Peri Chicken ($11.90) is a popular pick; this hearty sandwich comes with chicken chunks drenched in a peri-peri sauce that’s savoury and mildly spicy. Alternatively, go for the more classic Ham & Cheese Croissant ($10.90).

Coffee-wise, you can get a White for $5. There’s also a more interesting Iced Crescent Coffee ($6.50) that features espresso topped with whipped cream.

Crescent Waffle & Sandwich Shop stands out from its surrounding eateries with its minimalist, Japandi-style cafe interiors. It’s a convenient two-minute walk from Bencoolen MRT Station. All prices listed are nett too, so you won’t break the bank here!
