Domino’s Has Mentaiko Chicken And Prawn Pizzas With 50% Off Promo

Domino’s launches mentaiko pizzas

There are many things to love about mentaiko. There’s its bold flavour—a unique mix of spiciness, smokiness, and brine—and how it’s an incredibly versatile condiment. Pair it with mayonnaise and you get a super creamy, delicious dressing that’s great in pasta, atop sushi, or, in Domino’s case, as a delectable topping for pizzas.

The famed pizza franchise has launched their latest Mentaiko series, with two pizzas: the Chicken Bon-taiko Pizza and Prawn Bon-taiko Pizza. Each pizza is a riff on okonomiyaki, dressed with umami Japanese ingredients such as grilled vegetables, bonito flakes, and most importantly, parcels of mentaiko-coated chicken or prawns. Instead of a tomato base, you get a creamy, mentaiko mayonnaise one.

As with their pizzas, you can expect them to come with cheese, adding to the overall savouriness of each slice.

Real Domino’s fans will remember that the pizza chain did release Mentaiko pizzas last year, though those didn’t have the same bonito flakes topping. The sauce recipe has also been improved since!

These limited-edition pizzas will be available from now till 26 November. There are three sizes, depending on the size of the group you’re sharing this with. Prices start at $15.95 for a nine-inch Chicken Bon-taiko Pizza, and $17.95 for a Prawn Bon-taiko Pizza.

If you need more incentive to try the Bon-taiko pizzas, or are thinking of grabbing these for your next gathering with the fam or friends, it’s worth noting that Domino’s has a line-up of offers available till 26 November 2023, all on the Domino’s app. You can download the app on the Apple Store or the Google Play Store.

The app is free to download, and with it, you’ll unlock a fair amount of savings. For example, first-time orders on the app stand to get a free Regular Pizza of your choice. If you’re ordering for self-pick-up, you’ll be able to get the Regular Chicken Bon-taiko Pizza for just $5. If you’re dining with someone else, you can get a Regular Chicken Bon-taiko Pizza and a side dish for just $17 when you order via the app for self-pick-up or delivery.

Some promos are also available on their website—currently, you can get 50% off your pizza order, either for self-pick-up or delivery. This applies to most pizzas on the Domino’s menu, but since the Mentaiko series are limited time offerings, you do have to top-up $3 if you’re ordering the Chicken Bon-taiko Pizza, or $5 for the Prawn Bon-taiko Pizza.

Keep an eye out on their Instagram or Facebook pages for more challenges, where there are exciting prizes to be won!
