Eclipse @ 51 Tras: Industrial Cafe At Tanjong Pagar Has Aburi Chee Cheong Fun, Mochi Blondies And More

Eclipse @ 51 Tras At Tanjong Pagar

Even if you walk past Tras Street frequently, it’s easy to miss 51 Tras if not for the curious passersby peeking in from the outside. Located just a two-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, the cafe is popular for their unique menu featuring food from different dining concepts. Their latest project is titled Eclipse @ 51 Tras.

Eclipse @ 51 Tras fits the description of an aesthetic cafe with its minimalist-industrial vibe and raw concrete elements. The cafe also features a skylight roof for natural lighting, an indoor tree, and granite rocks doubling as chairs.

Kickstart your appetite with the Mua Chee Mochi Blondie ($8++), a golden peanut brownie crafted by Tigerlily Patisserie at Joo Chiat. During our visit, we had high praise for the chewy mochi that was encased inside the crumbly brownie.

For chee cheong fun with a twist, try the Aburi Chee Cheong Fun ($14.50++) from SG Chee Cheong Fun. This plate comes with a gooey onsen egg, a secret spicy sauce, and fried shallots for an added crunch.

You can also bless your IG feed with the MoonWalker ($9++) by Singaporean pastry chef Francis Wong, a unique spherical dessert made with sesame mousse and salted caramel. During our visit, we found the Moonwalker to be light and creamy with a prominent matcha taste.

For drinks, there’s the Einspanner White ($9++), a popular Viennese-style latte with cool whipped cream on top. There’s a black version as well, though both beverages are made using beans from Cumulo Coffee.
