SG’s First 24/7 Supermarket Snack Store Opens With Ramen Wall And DIY Snack Bar

24-hour FairPrice Xtra snack store opens at Jurong Point

The next time you’ve got a grumbling stomach in the middle of the night, head to Xtra Lab at FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point. The new 24-hour store-in-store concept offers a rotating lineup of international snacks, with its debut “Ba Ba Dian” edition spotlighting the “Best of Asia”.

For the Ba Ba Dian edition, you can expect to find a large variety of popular Chinese F&B brands, several of which are available exclusively at Xtra Lab.

There are over 600 different products here, including biscuits, instant noodles, candies, ready-to-eat meals, desserts and more!

A standout here is the DIY Pick & Mix snack bar, where you can choose from over 50 treats. FYI, prices here are based on weight at $2.20 per 100g.

Simply grab a bag and fill it with all the sweets you desire.

Thereafter, head to the weighing scale beside the bar, print out the price tag, and stick it onto your bag o’ treats to scan at the checkout.

Top picks here include the sugary White Peach-Shaped Gummy Candy and crunchy and tangy Cherry-Flavoured Plums.

The store also offers a range of Oreos in unique China-exclusive flavours.

We loved the tangy-sweet Blueberry and Raspberry Oreo ($2.90), and the mildly earthy and minty Ice Cream Matcha Oreo ($2.90).

Don’t miss out on their giant Lay’s Chips And Cashew Mixed Pack ($22.90).

Each pack contains four bags of cashews and chips in two flavours: Italian Red Meat and Cucumber. The former was savoury and tangy with a hint of spice, while the latter was light and refreshing.

They’ve even got a wall of instant noodles, featuring over 50 brands and flavours, starting at just $1.50.

Expect to find the cult favourites here, including the Kang Shi Fu Instant Noodles in Spicy Noodle ($2.80) and Braised Beef Noodle ($3) flavours.

If you’re looking for something new to try, they also carry less common flavours such as the Laoban Sauerkraut Beef Noodles ($2.80), starring noodles, carrots, beef, and pickled mustard greens in a spicy, tangy broth.

For something more filling, get one of their ready-to-eat meals instead, such as the Yummy Hunter Mala Grilled Fish ($12).

After heating it up at the office, the fish turned out soft and flaky. We enjoyed the bold and numbing mala sauce, elevated by the smoky aroma of the fish.

Beijing’s oldest roasted duck chain, Quan Ju De, also makes its Singapore debut with its Quan Ju De Peking Duck ($28.80).

The duck was succulent and juicy, and we loved the lightly crisp and fatty skin.

End off with the Yun He Yue Frozen Durian Gold Bar Musang King Durian ($9.95).

Each gold bar tin comes with smooth and creamy chunks of delicious MSW.

Xtra Lab is located at FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point, a quick five-minute walk from Boon Lay MRT Station. It’s also within walking distance of Pioneer MRT Station.
