Jewel Changi Food Republic reopens with 14 new food stalls

While Jewel Changi Airport already has plenty of food spots, only a handful of them are easy on the wallet. That’s why I was glad to hear that the mall’s Food Republic is finally set to reopen on 3 July 2026, after almost three long months of renovation. Located in the mall’s basement, the newly revamped food court will feature 14 new stalls, serving up a wide selection of delicious yet affordable eats, from fishball noodles to Peranakan-style curry.

Inspired by the bustling street food scene of 1970s Singapore, the upgraded space promises a vibrant, old-school atmosphere. Expect a refreshed mix of 10 new heritage food stalls, as well as four Michelin Bib Gourmand brands.

A standout here is Na Na Homemade Curry Perankan Cuisine. Known for their signature curry, this spot has been a frequent fixture in the Michelin Bib Gourmand, earning the award for 10 consecutive years from 2016 to 2025.

Their Fish Head Curry (price TBD) is a favourite, starring tender, succulent fish head, tofu puffs, okra, and eggplant in a lemak, spicy-tangy broth.

Noodle fans should check out LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles for their award-winning bowls of fishball noodles.

If you’re stumped on what to order, go for Lixin’s Signature Noodle ($8.60), available in both dry and soup versions. This hearty bowl comes with your choice of noodles, alongside springy fish cakes, minced pork dumplings, and their signature fishballs, handcrafted using 100% fresh yellowtail fish.

Hong Kong-famous claypot brand Ai Shan Claypot Express also makes its Singapore debut at the food court. While their Singapore menu is yet to be revealed, you can expect to feast on delicious bowls of claypot rice topped with traditional ingredients such as lap cheong and pork ribs. Each bowl also comes with that quintessential layer of crispy, smoky rice that they’re known for.

If you’re looking for a quick snack, stop by Jian Bo Shui Kueh for their heritage Teochew chwee kueh.

Don’t miss out on their Signature Jian Bo Shui Kueh (from $3.80 for five). These soft, steamed rice cakes come topped with a generous serving of sweet-salty cai poh. Be sure to pair this with their house-made chilli. While relatively mild, it packs plenty of flavour thanks to the added hae bee.

Pro tip: head down between 4 July and 31 July 2026 and spend a minimum of $18 in up to two combined receipts to redeem limited edition postcards, along with stamps and other unique collectables.

Food Republic’s new Jewel outlet is a quick eight-minute walk from Changi Airport MRT Station.
