Whether you’re an aunty by age or at heart, this is a lobang you need to know. Score free bowls of Signature Wanton Noodle at Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert on 10 October 2019, from 11:30am to 1:30pm!
Coined “Free Wanton Mee Day”, this special event will be happening at all Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert outlets, with the exception of Changi Airport T2 and Tampines Hub. There’s no limit to the number of times you can get the free dish, so just get back in line if you’re still hungry after your first bowl! This is only for those dining in, so don’t bother getting in line if you’re rushing for time.
The plump wontons here are filled with fresh prawn and kurobuta pork, making them stand out from typical kopitiam wantons. This year’s offer features their limited-edition Mala Wanton in the bowls. Mala and Szechuan spices are blended with the meat for a dose of piquant goodness!
Enjoy them with egg noodles imported from Hong Kong, as well as the flavourful soup that’s boiled with Jinhua ham.

If you’re hankering for something sweet, remember to get a bowl of their signature SK Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.50++) to complete your meal. Another dessert I love here is their Black Glutinous Rice with Vanilla Ice Cream and Honey Pearl ($5.30++). For something hot, try their Rice Ball in Osmanthus Soup ($3.90++).
There are plans to make this an annual event, so don’t worry if you can’t make it this year – just plan ahead next year to get your free lunch!
