Easties are lucky, as Tampines is chock-full of hidden gem cafes. Here’s another to add to the list: Glasshouse Creamery, a new ice cream cafe in Tampines West that opens till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays!

If Glasshouse Creamery’s spot looks familiar, that’s because they’ve taken over the spot where Around, another popular dessert cafe, used to be.

The new cafe sports the same glasshouse aesthetic, with floor-to-ceiling windows that bless the space with lots of natural light in the day.

A scoop of ice cream goes for $4.90, while a double scoop is priced at $8.90. Premium flavours require a top-up of $1 each. Flavours range from crowd favourites such as Mint Choco Chip and Pistachio, to Asian-inspired ones including Oolong Osmanthus and Sencha.

Wash it all down with a pot of tea; choose from eight flavours, including unique combinations such as Alpine Clouds ($7.90): rooibos, calendula flavours, almond pieces, and vanilla.

As Glasshouse Creamery is in their soft launch phase, do be patient with the team if you encounter any potential opening kinks.

Another hidden gem bakery in Tampines is Dough in Jungle, which offers cheap waffles and ondeh buns in the neighbourhood. If you’d something more substantial for lunch or dinner, head to one of these best Tampines hawker food places instead!
