Good Pig Trotters Fried Bee Hoon has been around the block and back since they first started out at The Arcade back in 1997. They’ve not always been known as such; they were first named 108 Eating House, then Good Old Taste, before settling on their current name.

If you’re intending to head down for this dish, do note that it’s only available each morning till 10:30am. You can order it as part of a set, with prices starting from $4.50, with pre-selected ingredients including luncheon meat, sunny-side-up, fishcake and more.

Don’t dismiss this plate of ter kah bee hoon for its pale colour—the thin rice noodles are said to be thoroughly infused with the savoury flavours of the braised, fatty trotters. Plus, each serving is laced with chunky pieces of meat, and then topped generously with puffs of fried pork lard for the ultimate porcine indulgence.

Should you miss the golden hours when they’ve got their eponymous dish on sale, the menu also comprises other local favourites, including Laksa ($5.50), Minced Meat Fishball Noodles ($5.50), and chicken rice!

For another super-popular pig trotter bee hoon, there’s Cheng Ji at Adam Road Food Centre, whose pork leg bee hoon is said to taste very homey. Otherwise, Nic & Tom Eatery in Chinatown serves cheese-covered bee hoon!
