Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu To Open At Parkway Parade With A5 Wagyu Cutlet And More

Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu opens third outlet at Parkway Parade

Easties can now get their gyukatsu fix without travelling across town, as Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is opening its third Singapore outlet at Parkway Parade. The new outlet follows the brand’s first opening at Raffles City and second outlet at One Holland Village, both of which drew long queues from diners eager to try its signature Japanese beef cutlets.

The Japanese chain, popular for its gyukatsu, currently boasts more than 70 outlets worldwide. These deep-fried beef cutlets feature a thin layer of golden, crispy batter encasing thick slices of beef cooked medium rare.

Unlike the usual tonkatsu, gyukatsu is served lightly cooked, allowing diners to finish cooking the beef to their preferred doneness on a personal hot stone.

At the upcoming Parkway Parade outlet, diners can look forward to the chain’s signature cuts, including Sirloin, Chuck, Tenderloin, and Beef Tongue Gyukatsu.

For those looking to splurge, there is the premium A5 Miyazaki Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen ($55++), which comes with rich marbling and a tender texture, while retaining the signature crisp exterior.

Otherwise, the Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen ($25++) is a good place to start if it’s your first time here. The set comes with a thick slice of beef cutlet, featuring crispy breading that contrasts perfectly with the juicy, tender beef inside. Those who want to try more than one cut can opt for the Half-and-Half Gyukatsu Zen ($32++), while beef lovers can go for the Gyutan Zen (price TBD), featuring beef tongue cutlet.

Each cutlet can be paired with a variety of condiments, allowing diners to switch up the flavours with every bite. Options include Kyoto-style curry, fresh wasabi, onsen egg, dashi soy sauce, sansho pepper salt, and gyukatsu sauce.

All zen sets come with free-flow rice and cabbage, making it a hearty meal option for those looking for a filling Japanese lunch or dinner.

To celebrate the Parkway Parade opening, children under 10 can also dine for free from Mondays to Thursdays, between 11am and 4pm, when two zen sets are ordered. The promotion is available for a limited time and is subject to terms and conditions.

The new restaurant is slated to open by August 2026.
