Singapore just got a taste of Tokyo’s cafe scene with the opening of RITUEL Tokyo at Takashimaya on 9 July 2026. This is the brand’s first overseas spot, bringing a French tea room-inspired experience with a Japanese twist—think elegant pastries, afternoon tea, and all-day dining.

The cafe keeps its signature pastries front and centre, including the 36-layer Signature Layer Croissant made with French butter and slow-fermented overnight, and the Escargot Danish, a spiral-rolled classic perfected in Tokyo.

For Singapore, they’ve added some exclusive creations, such as the Japanese Egg Danish Sandwich, with fluffy scrambled eggs and truffle mushroom cream, and the Wagyu Roast Beef Danish Sandwich with house-made pickles and red wine sauce. If you’re craving something hearty, there’s pasta, duck confit, and steak frites on the menu, too.

Prices are yet to be confirmed. We’ll update this article as soon as we get them!

If high tea is more your vibe, the BOUQUET Afternoon Tea is perfect for slowing down and enjoying a treat. During the soft opening in July, it’s $100++ for two (U.P. $118++), with complimentary free-flow non-alcoholic sparkling.

Dessert fans will be happy to find the cafe’s Signature Parfaits, Brioche Flower Donuts, fresh cream cakes, and seasonal pastries available by reservation from mid-August.

Come August, grand opening specials include a complimentary Signature Layer Croissant with any spend over $30++, and afternoon tea reservations can grab a bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne at $86++ (U.P. $140++). Drinks-wise, there are curated teas, house-roasted coffee, Chocolate Chaud prepared with Valrhona chocolate and Chantilly cream, plus five tea-based mocktails.
