This July, IKEA brings us a new dessert series starring D24 durian: think D24 Durian Cheese Tart, D24 Durian Cream Puff, and D24 Durian Cream Cake! These sweet treats will be available in all IKEA Restaurants from now till 31 August 2022—so you can round off your National Day celebrations in style.

If you missed out on the rather short durian season this year, that’s alright, because IKEA’s got you covered. You won’t even have to get pricked by the thorns or dirty your hands eating—even though many will say that’s the best part of it—these desserts feature actual D24 durian so you get to have your cake and eat it too.

We previously saw durian on the IKEA menu when they rolled out a D24 Durian Chendol Cake a few years back, while the D24 Durian Cheese Tart ($3.50) has made appearances before too. This is said to come with a biscuit tart shell, filled with a creamy, pungent durian-cheese centre.

While the D24 Durian Cream Puff ($3) and D24 Durian Cream Cake are new to our local IKEA menu, our neighbours across the Causeway have enjoyed these as part of the Durian Dessert Festival at IKEA Malaysia!

Not only is the D24 Durian Cream Cake available in slices for $4.90, you can also get it as a 500g, whole-cake edition ($29.90) at IKEA Swedish Food Market.

Do note that these durian treats, except for the whole Durian Cream Cake, are only available at IKEA Restaurants from Monday to Thursday each week, except public holidays.

IKEA FAMILY members can also enjoy exclusive discounts this July! Specifically at IKEA Alexandra and Tampines Swedish Bistro, enjoy IKEA’s plant-based strawberry ice cream for $1.20 instead of the usual $2 from 18 to 21 July 2022.

Following that, IKEA’S Spicy Buffalo Wings will be up for grabs at $8.90 for six, which is $1 cheaper than what non-IKEA FAMILY members pay, from 25 to 31 July 2022 at all IKEA Restaurants!

If you’re still looking for more durian treats, we’ve consolidated a list of durian buffets to hit up. Otherwise, head to 99 Old Trees Durian Cafe for more durian treats!
