The Japan Rail Fair is back for its 2025 edition from 9 October to 11 October 2025! Located at Guoco Tower’s outdoor space, Urban Park, you’ll find an event dedicated to Japan’s rich railway culture, with merchandise, interactive booths, and F&B brands to check out here. It is right outside JAPAN RAIL CAFE, which couldn’t be more fitting.

Sanrio fans will want to check out the Katanukiya booth. Known for its “cut-out Baum”, a layered cake shaped like Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody and more. If you’re not into Sanrio, the booth also offers cakes modelled after more generic cartoon animals, such as a panda.

For something heartier, the JAPAN RAIL CAFE booth has some fresh onigiri for you to enjoy. While we aren’t sure of the exact offerings, the promotional images available online suggest there will be classic options such as tuna and ikura onigiri.

At JAPAN RAIL CLUB, you can get a subscription for their gorgeous Omiyage Snack Boxes, which come with a range of seasonal Japanese snacks perfect for gifting or sharing. While the boxes aren’t for sale at the event, you can take part in activities to snag snacks from previous releases.

And speaking of freebies, you can try samples of the famous Hirosaki Apple Pie outside JAPAN RAIL CAFE on each day of the fair! These are flown in directly from Hirosaki City, the place that popularised this golden pastry with a sweet apple filling. There are limited quantities each day, so go early to get your free bite!

With so much more waiting to be explored at the Japan Rail Fair, be sure to block out 9 to 11 October for the event!
