Get Legit Wagyu Curry and More By A Japanese Chef At Fortune Centre

Japanese Curry Miyabi is a hidden eatery at Fortune Centre

Fortune Centre is one of my go-to places to dine and chill with my friends. The quaint mall brims with my favourite eateries: Yat Ka Yan with their famous traditional Chinese desserts, and New Station Snack Bar with their popular salted egg pork rice. Now, there’s one new addition to my must-visit list: Japanese Curry Miyabi, a hidden eatery helmed by a Japanese chef.

The menu here isn’t extensive; the chef specialises in Japanese curry, with just three different mains to choose from. Out of the three, the Wagyu Curry ($18++) is a steady seller thanks to its wallet-friendly price given the premium meat. You can also add a Fried Egg ($3++) or pair your curry rice with a bowl of Miso Soup ($3++) for the best experience.

FYI, everything is priced under $20, so worry not about breaking the bank.

Apparently, the chef doesn’t use store-bought curry cubes to whip up the dishes, which is impressive. Instead, everything is made from scratch with love. The Pork Curry Keema Style ($16++) is no exception. Here, you get a plate of short-grain rice and well-seasoned minced pork doused in a special house-made sauce and dried basil leaves.

We also recommend getting the Iberico Pork Katsu ($10++) to try alongside your curry rice. Many online reviews have touted the fillet to be incredibly tender and delicious, striking a good balance of crispy panko and thick, juicy meat within.

The eatery boasts an open kitchen concept with less than 20 seats, so drop by as early as you can to secure a seat as they only operate till 2:30pm.
