If you frequent the CBD and you’re up to try something different, head to Kapitan. This Slavic restaurant, which made headlines last year for its viral TikTok video, is now offering a limited-time crepe buffet on Sundays only!

Available on every Sunday from 11am to 1pm, from now till 10 February 2024, the Crepe Buffet is priced at $17.90++ per person. There’s a 90-minute dining limit, with the last seating being at 1pm. There’s just one catch: the crepes are served in batches, so the whole table has to get the buffet.

You get to choose from a wide range of standard crepe toppings that are also free-flow. Choose from both sweet and savoury options, including honey, condensed milk, chocolate sauce, cream cheese, mushrooms, and sour cream. If you’re feeling spendy, add on premium toppings such as smoked salmon and caviar, from just $2++ a serving.

Besides unlimited servings of crepe, you’re also entitled to free-flow coffee or tea, serving as the perfect accompaniment to your meal!

If you’d like more variety, Kapitan has a great selection of Eastern European mains and sides that are worth sharing with the table.

Their handcrafted dumplings are a must-try; go for the Combo Platter ($17.90++), comprising eight pieces of Pelmeni AKA Russian dumplings. Flavours include Salmon, Golden Hen (chicken), and Siberian: a classic mix of beef and pork.

For mains, the Kapitan Sausage ($25.90++) comes highly recommended. This gets you seasonal sausages piled on mash or fries, served with German sauerkraut for brightness.

Kapitan is a convenient four-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. The restaurant has a cosy and inviting vibe, with nautical elements dotted throughout the space.
