Calling all Northside foodies! If you’re a night owl like me, those late-night hunger pangs can be quite a pain. Lucky for us, Kazutake Ramen is a new stall in Ang Mo Kio that’s open around the clock! What better than slurping down a steaming bowl of ramen or a quick sushi fix to satisfy our midnight cravings.

This late-night gem looks just like one of those late-night diners you’d find in Japan. With their huge signage and bright lights, Kazutake Ramen feels like a slice of Japan right in the heart of the neighbourhood. It’s an 18-minute walk or a 13-minute bus ride from Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.

The sheer variety of dishes that they offer here is truly impressive━there are beloved Japanese classics such as sushi, ramen, don, yakitori, gyoza and many more. If you’re looking for a quick fix, consider their Torimomo ($9.90) yakitori, which stars eight chicken thigh skewers. Otherwise, there’s also Chicken Karaage ($6) and Gyoza ($6), both of which make for a great late-night snack.

Those who have hearty appetites at night can indulge in their selection of ramen. One standout choice is their signature Chashu Ramen ($10.50), which features noodles in a house-made broth, topped with thick slices of chashu, black fungus, aji tamago, and negi, AKA scallions.

If your meal isn’t complete without rice, explore their variety of don. Choose from nine different options, including Salmon Aburi Don ($13.50), Truffle Chirashi Don ($15.50), Unagi Don ($15.50), Salmon Avocado Don ($18.50) and more.

Kazutake Ramen exudes a charming ambience with an interior decorated with Japanese motifs on the walls, such as Mount Fuji, and Edo period-style drawings. Drop by for their value-for-money selections, all priced at nett rates.

If you’re looking for more Japanese eats, visit Katsu-an, a popular Japanese chain with $5.90 Katsudon in Suntec City! Otherwise, read our guide to the best late-night dessert places to satisfy your midnight cravings.
