When we speak of favourite local dishes, it would be profane to leave cereal butter chicken, AKA mai pian ji, out of the discussion. Good news: KFC has finally brought their Cereal Chicken back for a limited time only, just in time for National Day! There’s no telling when this exclusive flavour will be taken off the menu, so make sure you get some before it’s too late.

Among several seasonal flavours, such as the Goldspice Salted Egg Fried Chicken and Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito, fans have touted KFC’s Cereal Chicken to be one of the fast food chain’s best creations since its first launch in 2019. It features KFC’s signature Hot & Crispy Chicken, tossed in Nestum’s buttery cereal, curry leaves, and chilli for a kick of spice.

This year, KFC’s Cereal Chicken is available till 22 August 2023. The fried chicken is uber crispy yet juicy within, pairing well with the sweet and malty flavours of cereal. Fragrant curry leaves and chilies are added to the mix, lifting the indulgent dish with its citrusy aroma.

This year, you can get the Cereal Chicken Meal from $10.50, which includes two pieces of cereal chicken, a regular whipped potato and coleslaw, and Sjora mango peach beverage to wash it all down.

If you’re just looking to have chicken without the add-ons, go for the a la carte Cereal Chicken, priced at $4.60 for one piece. Otherwise, there’s also a meal bundle for bigger groups to share! The Cereal Chicken Family Feast, which is good for eight people, comes with eight pieces of Cereal Chicken, five pieces of chicken tenders, a box of popcorn chicken, and is completed with two medium whipped potatoes.

What’s more, KFC’s Cereal Chicken will be packed in a limited edition box that comes with perforated holes, so you can pour out the cereal bits with ease. This exclusively designed box will be made available from 17 July.
