Missed out on the cult‑favourite Grimace Shake last time it popped up at McDonald’s? Good news: the mixed berry drink is making a comeback at all McDonald’s outlets across Singapore on 8 April 2026, and this time, they’re giving away over 7,000 free Grimace Shakes to fans.

Here’s how to get yours: just turn up at any McDonald’s between 3 pm and 5pm wearing something purple—it could be your top, bottoms, or even your shoes—and you’ll score a complimentary Grimace Shake.

For the uninitiated, Grimace is one of McDonald’s most iconic characters and is loved for his large, purple, furry appearance. He’s often spotted alongside Ronald McDonald, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and the rest of the McDonald’s crew in campaigns over the years.

Inspired by Grimace’s purple appearance and sweet nature, the refreshing shake is said to have a mixed berry flavour. The price starts at $1.85 for a meal upgrade.

Do note that each outlet is limited to 50 Grimace Shake redemptions, capped at one per person. The offer is only valid for in‑store redemptions, excluding McDonald’s outlets at Parklane, LIDO, Changi Airport’s T2 Transit Lounge, Tampines Kiosk, and certain Shell and Caltex outlets.

Looking to grab some Grimace merch while you’re there? You’ve got options. Get the Grimace Tumbler for $19.90 with a $10 minimum spend, or pick up the Grimace Plush for just $5.90 with any meal (Happy Meal excluded). And starting 9 April, the Grimace Puffer Bag will be available for $12.90—while stocks last, of course.

Whether you’re a die‑hard Grimace fan or just in it for the freebies, mark your calendars and get ready to sip on the shake that had everyone talking the first time around.

In other fast-food news, McDonald’s has also re-launched their Creamy Mushroom Deluxe Burger, available in single or double patty options starting from $10.05. Meanwhile, MILO Singapore has released new MILO Breakfast Set plushies, available for a limited time only.
