We last wrote about Korfe when Huluruk Myeon House opened the bakery concept in Junction 8. This March, the Korean bakery has expanded to Orchard Road, Singapore’s famed shopping belt, launching their third stall at the basement of ION Orchard.
Unlike the OG branch in Bishan, this latest Korfe is a kiosk that has a similar range of Korean bakes, including the garlic cream cheese buns that took us by storm last year. Korfe’s exceptional Korean Garlic Bun retails for $2.80, although the Injeolmi Red Bean Bun ($2.80) is what’s got us coming back for more.
Another favourite of ours when we tried the bakes from the Junction 8 branch was the Nutella Cookie Bun ($2.80), which saw a chocolate chip cookie crust baked atop a bun, filled generously with Nutella cream. Fair warning, though, that this is a messy eat.
Taking the IG scene by storm of late is Korfe’s new Taro Bun ($2.80). These buns are said to be pillowy soft, and filled with a massive amount of taro cream that’s reminiscent of yam ice cream.
Also new to the Korfe menu are a range of tarts made with Korean produce. These include a Korean Yuzu Tart ($5.80) and a Korean Strawberry Tart ($7.80). For something chocolatey, there’s a Salted Chocolate Caramel Tart ($5.80) that’s filled with chocolate caramel cream.

Besides these new bakes, Korfe ION Orchard has a series of Dalgona coffee drinks that are exclusive to this branch, as well as their Ang Mo Kio branch in Djitsun Mall. These drinks feature additional infusions such as Green Tea, Taro, Purple Sweet Potato, and Coconut. They are priced at $4.20 if you like them hot, or $5.80 if you prefer the drinks cold.

This opening joins a slew of others, including the first outlet of Joy Luck Teahouse, which was launched late last year. Another international brand in the ION Orchard basement is Hang Heung Bakery, which drew long queues at its opening. Otherwise, check out our guide to dining at ION Orchard!
Address: 2 Orchard Turn, #B4-63, ION Orchard, Singapore 238801
