If you were one of the many folks who were sad when Korio closed their doors in December 2023, this news is for you. The popular sandwich shop is making a comeback in the form of a pop-up at Hello Kitty Kitty, a Clarke Quay bar thatās owned by Zouk Group!
This new pop-up is a collaboration between Korio and Zouk Groupās Chief Culinary Officer-Chef, Lorenz Hoja. Itās set to run from 16 May to 8 June 2024, from Thursdays to Saturdays, 6pm to 10pm. There are limited stocks available each day, so itās best to make a reservation before heading down!
When we did our Korio review back in 2020, we were impressed with their loaded sandwiches and rich brioche doughnuts. This time, you can look forward to a new menu comprising āStartersā, āFillersā, and āHappy Endingsā.

Choose from two starter sandwiches: Nordic Craze ($17) and The Italian Job ($17).
The former stars salmon confit, briney ikura, quail egg, cream cheese, and marinated onions on baguette, while the latter comes with burrata, parmesan, zucchini, tomato confit, and rocket leaves atop focaccia.
Then, fill up on my personal favourite: Get Shorty ($25), a bagel sandwich stuffed with braised beef short ribs, roasted onions, and provolone, finished with horseradish cream and pickled cucumber.
Otherwise, order the Jon BƔnh Jo Mi ($25), a Vietnamese-inspired sammie with thick and crispy barramundi nuggets, pickled veggies, XO mayo, and sriracha.
Those who love Korioās doughnuts will be pleased to find two renditions here.
End your meal on a sweet note with the Green Magic ($8.50), stuffed with pandan chantilly, then topped with coconut glaze and roasted coconut flakes.
Else, the Chocolate OD ($8.50) doughnut is an indulgent pick starring chocolate chantilly, chocolate glaze, and kumquat slices to cut through the richness. This oneās a definite hit with those who love orange-chocolate combinations!
As this pop-up at Hello Kitty Kitty runs for a limited time only, make sure you head down earlier or reserve in advance to snag a seat!
While youāre in the area, check out Swee Lee Clarke Quay, a new cafe hidden in a music store with affordable brunch and waffles. Otherwise, read our Song Fa Bak Kut Teh review for Michelin-approved BKT along New Bridge Road!
