Le Matin Patisserie has become a household name for refined pastries in Singapore. Founded by chef Mohamed Al-Matin, formerly of the pastry sous-chef of the three Michelin-starred Noma in Copenhaagen, Le Matin Patisserie began as an online business before it moved to a central kitchen at Outram Park. The cafe has recently moved out of its Raeburn Park location to two brand new spots that officially open on 15 April 2022.

First is a self-service concept in Telok Ayer at 77 Robinson Road, #01-03, with 30 tables in the dining area. Customers can come, order pastries and coffee, and enjoy them on-site. This CBD cafe features a sleek industrial look with chic gold furnishings, and opens daily from 9am to 5pm.

They’ve also opened Paragon Orchard, albeit a smaller one. Located within Porcelain Spa (#04-48), the cafe serves the patisserie’s best-selling pastries, bottled brews, kombuchas, and pour-over coffee. Its central location makes it a fab pit-stop to refuel if you’re running errands in town.

Keep your eyes out for their famed Kouign Amann, Pain Au Chocolat, and Pistachio Escargot. The latter product, a crowd favourite with Le Matin regulars, is a buttery viennoiserie with a nutty pistachio swirl.

Apart from the signature trio, the patisserie has a rotating menu of pastries that push the flavourful boundaries of French pastries, from a Smoked Cruffin to a Fermented Mushroom Quiche. Local touches rear their head from time to time too, found in products such as the Hae Bee Hiam Laminated Donut Roll.

Pastries are priced at around $4 and up. Aside from getting your Le Matin fix IRL at these new cafes, you can also order their pastry boxes on their website.
