Man Man Unagi And Tendon Kohaku Are Opening A New Outlet At Clarke Quay Central

Man Man Unagi and Tendon Kohaku at Clarke Quay

Man Man Unagi and Tendon Kohaku are not new to Japanese food lovers in Singapore. Both restaurants drew crazy crowds when they first opened. Many of us were willing to queue for hours just to get our hands on Man Man Unagi’s famous Hitsumabushi or Tendon Kohaku’s Kohaku Tendon.

If you’re an undying fan of these two restaurants, good news. They’re joining forces to open a new outlet this July. Located at Clarke Quay Central’s basement, the new space will be significantly bigger, and can seat up to 80 diners.

Loyal customers can look forward to sinking their teeth into Man Man Unagi’s signature grilled unagi, which has a smoky and slightly charred skin that encases soft, sweet eel.

Tendon Kohaku is known for their delicious tempura donburi, which uses Hokkaido white rice. Their tempura is fried in an oil blend that includes sesame oil, giving each crispy fritter an added fragrance.

Aside from the classics, the outlet at Clarke Quay will also be serving a range of new dishes. A must-try is the expensive but drool-worthy Kaisen x Histumabushi by Teppei and Man Man ($32.50++). This is a combination of Man Man Unagi’s signature donburi as well as Teppei’s popular kaisen don.

Other new dishes to try include Kaisen Tendon by Kohaku and Teppei ($26.50++) as well as Jumbo Unagi Tendon ($29++). Sides such as Premium Chawanmushi with Unagi and Ikura ($6.50++) and Crispy Unagi Dragon Roll ($9++) are also new and exclusive to this outlet.

The exact opening date for the new outlet is not announced yet, so bookmark this article to stay updated! In the meantime, find out what else to eat at Clarke Quay:
