Menbaka Fire Ramen Has New Wagyu Ramen, Truffle Somen And More For Limited Time Only

Spring menu at Menbaka Fire Ramen

We first encountered Menbaka Fire Ramen when the famed Kyoto establishment launched in Singapore, back in 2020. If you’ve not experienced the blazing bowls of ramen they’re known for, they now have a limited-time Spring menu which offers five new items so you and your friends don’t all have to eat the same negi ramen.

First up, there’s the Aburi Hokkaido-Wagyu Ramen ($22.90++/$24.90++), which comes in a clean-tasting dashi broth, enriched by the melted fat of the Wagyu slice as it’s torched.

It’s also topped with fresh-cut negi, cubes of fried Wagyu fat for a smoky crunch, and ito togarashi, or red chilli shreds.

If you’re looking for a lighter bite, the Truffle Mazesomen ($6.90++/$10.90++) is just that. The fine noodle is tossed in a shoyu mix that’s accented with white truffle oil, and topped with tobiko, dry salted seaweed, sakura ebi, and negi.

On the side, get more beefy goodness with the Ebi Tempura Organic Striploin Roll ($6.90++). It’s not your usual ebi tempura, because this comes wrapped with torched New Zealand organic striploin, and then is drizzled with sesame sauce and finished with sesame seed-spiked furikake.

Rounding off the Spring specials are the Sakura Milk Latte ($6.90++) and Sakura Yoghurt Pudding ($6.90++). The former is infused with organic hibiscus, rosehip, and beetroot, giving it its pastel pink hue.

Flecked with real sakura petals and a whole preserved bloom, the Sakura Yoghurt Pudding is a sweet, low-fat end to the meal, with an agar-agar texture.

If you’re looking for other eats in the area, here’s a guide to dining at 313 Somerset, which is just around the corner. Otherwise, head to JUMBO at ION Orchard for high tea!
