PSA: MilkyShop, the cult-favourite bakery from Seoul, is bringing its viral cookies to Singapore. The popular dessert brand, which has 10 outlets across Korea, is setting up its first Singapore pop-up at New Bahru, running from 3 September 2026 to 2 January 2027.

MilkyShop started as a retro American-style dessert market in Seongsu-dong, selling doughnuts and pies before its Butter Sand cookies took off, turning the shop into one of the neighbourhood’s most-visited stops.

The Signature Butter Sand ($34/box) is the headline act: a golden, crumbly biscuit packed with house-made caramel and a rich, velvety butter filling. Here’s a tip: eat it straight from the chiller, since the cold firms the filling into a silky, almost ice-cream-like texture.

Unlike the original Press Butter Sand cookie sandwiches from Japan, which are delicate and crumbly, these Korean biscuits are said to be heavier and more decadent.

Four flavours will be available at launch: CrÚme Brûlée, Milk Caramel, Peanut Butter, and Matcha.

We’ve got our eye on the CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e cookies, featuring a torched, caramelised sugar crust over a rich butter middle.

Do keep in mind that MilkyShop is capping the pop-up at 250 boxes a day, so if you’re set on a specific flavour, getting there early is your best bet.

We’ll update this article once we get more details on the upcoming store!
