Taiwan’s Famous Mister Wheel To Open In Suntec, Get Wheel Pies And More Here

Mister Wheel is opening this December at Suntec City

You may have tried the Taiwanese street food staple, wheel pies, at the newly opened Taiwanese food court, TaiWan Night Markets. If you haven’t, or simply can’t get enough of this sweet treat, here’s some exciting news for you: Mister Wheel, a well-loved eatery in Taiwan that’s known for their wheel pies, is set to open its doors in Suntec City this mid-December.

While this has not been confirmed on the brand’s website, hoarding in the mall featuring their logo has been spotted. You can find it on the first floor in Tower One of Suntec City, located right outside SuperPark and near Olivia & Co.

Established in 2017, Mister Wheel currently operates two locations across Taiwan and is looking to expand further into Singapore and Japan. They are loved for their wheel pies that have a soft and chewy texture, crafted using ingredients sourced directly from Taiwan. Notably, the red beans used in these wheel pies are sourced from Wandan, and the taro is sourced from Dajia—regions in Taiwan that are famous for these produce. If you’ve never had them before, they bear a resemblance to Japanese obanyaki.

The Taiwan eatery boasts a selection of nine flavours consisting of both sweet and savoury options. Prices vary, ranging from NT$30/~S$1.30 to NT$35/~S$1.50.

You can find classic options such as custard, red bean, and chocolate flavours, as well as more unique offerings such as matcha with mochi, taro, sesame with peanut, and earl grey milk tea. For those seeking a savoury alternative, you can go for their bacon with potatoes or their Taiwanese sauerkraut with pepperoni instead.

That’s not all: you can pair these pies with tea, with over 10 options at their Taiwan stores including Assam Black Tea (NT$60/~S$2.55), Pu Er Tea (NT$65/~S$2.75), Taro Milk Tea (NT$65/~S$2.75) among many others.

It’s not clear what exactly is on the menu at this Singapore outpost, but we’ll update this post with the details when we have them.

Make a trip down to Tim Hortons, a cafe known for their coffees and doughnuts from Canada, which recently opened their first outlet in Singapore. Alternatively, for more Taiwanese fare, consider visiting Eat 3 Bowls for their legit oyster mee sua and lu rou fan.
