We Tried Molly Tea’s Signature Drinks To See If They’re Worth The Hype

Molly Tea is opening in Singapore on 6 March

If you’re a fan of Chinese tea brands such as CHAGEE and HEYTEA, you’ll soon find it much harder to decide on your next bubble tea fix. After weeks of building anticipation, Molly Tea will officially open its doors on 6 March at Orchard Central, serving up jasmine tea concoctions in the heart of Singapore.

For the uninitiated, Molly Tea is one of the biggest tea brands in China. It has over 2,000 outlets worldwide, including in Australia, Thailand, and the United States. Standing at 1400 sq ft, its Singapore outlet will mark the brand’s largest outlet in Southeast Asia, and features a statue of Molly’s iconic mascot in a Merlion costume.

Fans can look forward to the highly popular Premium Jasmine Milk Tea ($5.20), the brand’s best-selling item worldwide. Crafted through a meticulous seven-step scenting process, the fragrance of Guanxi jasmine flowers is infused into the drink, bringing out a sweet, delicate taste that’slight and enjoyable on the palate.

To add an extra touch of indulgence, try the Snowy Jasmine ($6.50), which is topped with the signature Jasmine Whipped Cream, lending a foamy layer that complements the rich milk tea. The sprinkle of crushed pecans was a standout, adding a satisfying crunch and textural contrast to every sip.

A unique option is their Premium Jasmine Apple Milk Tea ($5.90), which pairs high-mountain Guangxi tea with fresh apple juice, striking the perfect balance between floral jasmine notes and fruity sweetness that we thoroughly enjoyed. Another fruit-based favourite is their Pistachio Jasmine Coconut ($6.20), which combines refreshing coconut water with a topping of pistachio cheese, elevating the tea flavours.

If you are looking for stronger flavours, we also tried their fragrant White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea ($5.20) and their White Champaca Matcha ($5.90), topped with a cloud of matcha cheese foam that added a satisfying umami richness to the drink.

Early birds will be in for a treat, as all of these signature drinks will be available on a 1-for-1 promotion from 6 to 8 March 2026, limited to four redemptions per customer and while stocks last.

Every purchase during that period also comes with a sure-win gachapon spin, giving you the chance to win prizes such as 1-for-1 drink vouchers, brand merchandise, and branded card holders.

While we expect more options to be rolled out after the launch period, our early impressions of Molly Tea’s signature drinks are very positive. Beyond the unique blends, what stood out to us was how light-tasting their offerings were, even when we opted for higher sugar levels. The brand’s ability to deliver authentic, layered flavours without any overwhelming sweetness is sure to strike a chord with Singapore’s bubble-tea-loving crowd.

With a three-week, all-pink pop-up featuring plenty of Instagram-worthy spots adding to the launch experience, be prepared for the long lines to start forming at Molly Tea when it makes its official debut in a few days.
