If Mum loves her soups, bring her to Tan Ser Seng Herbal Soup, one of Singapore’s long-standing herbal soup specialists with roots dating back to the 1940s. Located in Geylang, the restaurant is known for its nourishing herbal soups, prepared fresh daily with premium, preservative-free ingredients. Even the water used in their broths goes through a multi-filtration system, ensuring a clean, well-rounded flavour in every bowl.

The homegrown restaurant is rolling out a Mother’s Day set for two, available only from 1 May till the end of the month. Affordably priced at $49.80++, the Mother’s Day set starts with a choice of Steamed Seabass with Yellow Chilli or Teochew Olive Vegetable. Next, have your pick from the brand’s exclusive nourishing soups for the occasion. There’s the Cordyceps Flower Sakura Chicken Soup, a clear broth slow-simmered with antibiotic-free Sakura chicken and a blend of traditional herbs. Light yet deeply flavourful, it offers gentle savouriness while supporting lung health, boosting energy, and helping the body recover without feeling overly heaty. For something more robust, order the Ginseng Black Chicken Soup, which delivers a deep, slow-simmered brew of black Silkie chicken and whole ginseng, enriched with a medley of traditional herbs. This soup is designed to restore energy, support circulation, and help the body recover after periods of fatigue.

The meal is completed with Roasted King Oyster Mushroom with Scallion Puree and a Stewed Papaya Dessert, with each diner also getting a bowl of white or yam rice (top up $1++ each).
