We’re always looking for beautiful cafes in Singapore, so when we stumbled upon Nomads, we knew we had to cover them.

The new camping-themed cafe is tucked away at The Oval in Seletar. With its spacious indoor and outdoor areas decked in camping furniture and knick-knacks, it almost feels like you’re overseas when dining here!

The cafe menu is rather extensive, with a focus on all-day brunch such as the Bigman’s Breakfast ($28++): sourdough slices, bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, potatoes, and eggs cooked to your preference.

Rosti fans can try their Scout Skillet Hash ($23++) instead, comprising crispy rosti, sour cream, and a sausage.

Some of their food items, including the Truffle Fries ($16++) and Tomyum Seafood Noodles ($25++), are served in mess tins, adding to the outdoor camping vibe!

If you want something more filling, there are carb options such as the Green Garden Pasta ($25++), a vegetarian-friendly dish featuring pesto, cherry tomato, baby spinach, and egg. Else, order the Wilderness Meat Pasta ($26++), which combines beef, basil, and cream.

Besides the usual coffee, tea, and juices, Nomads offers a great range of beers, cocktails, and mocktails. Happy hour runs from 3pm to 8pm, when you can get a pint of draught beer for just $11++, and a Mojito or Negroni at $13++ instead of the usual $16++.

What’s more, they open till 12am on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can come by and enjoy the late-night breeze on a weekend.

Another cool camping-themed concept to check out is CJ Malatang, a new mala spot in Beauty World that opens till 2am. Otherwise, read our Outline Cafe feature for a two-storey “glamping” cafe in Johor Bahru with affordable mains under $15.
