NOSH Has XL Fish And Chips That’s Bigger Than A Forearm

NOSH serves XL fish and chips and more in Sembawang

If you’re craving a fish and chips feast, NOSH has you covered with their absolutely massive fish and chips! Having started as a food truck parked in Marina Bay Sands, NOSH is now a popular bistro serving quality Western food in a bistro setting.

The biggest highlight of NOSH would certainly be their XL Fish & Chips ($79.90++), featuring a 750g halibut, sidewinders, mesclun salad, as well as sauces including tartar, sriracha mayo, truffle mayo, and their signature cream sauce.

If, like me, you’re having a hard time trying to picture just how big exactly 750g of halibut is, here’s a size comparison of their XL Fish and Chips with their regular Halibut Fish and Chips ($25.90++), which comes with the same delicious sides. I know, insane, right?

If you need more visualisation, here’s my forearm next to the 750g of halibut.

The XL Fish and Chips features impeccably crispy skin and exceptionally fresh halibut. Unlike the mushy texture you’d often find at coffee shops, this dish showcases a distinct separation between the crisp skin and tender fish. It’s seasoned perfectly, too—we have no complaints about this excellent rendition.

Complementing the XL Fish and Chips, the sidewinders also came XL-sized. While the fish skin is delightfully crispy, the sidewinders offer a softer, slightly mushier texture that creates a pleasant contrast. The accompanying sauces further enhance the flavours, adding an extra dimension to this hearty dish.

Their local special, the Signature Laksa ($20.90++) pasta, is incredibly fragrant and delivers all the beloved flavours of traditional laksa, but with a unique pasta twist.

Another must-try item would be their Tater Tots Chilli Cheese ($13.90++), featuring house-made chilli beef and cheese sauce.

For something hearty and flavourful, go for their Forest Mushroom Soup with Sourdough ($8.90++), which is delightfully fragrant without being too mushroom-y.

The bistro offers a range of drinks from coffee and tea to juice and alcohol. A cup of iced coffee here will set you back about $6.50++, and a bottle of beer would cost $12++.

NOSH is a great place to hang out with friends to share all the good food with. If their outlet at Sembawang Victory 8 is too out of the way, they also have another outlet at Henderson Road for you to check out!
