Specialising in yam-based products, Orhhsome serves a variety of decadent orh nee desserts and snacks at affordable prices. As they do not have a physical store, you can order from their website and opt for self-collection at Mandai and Hougang, or go for the delivery option at a flat rate of $8.

One of their newer items on the menu is the Japanese Purple Sweet Potato Yam Paste ($2), featuring a thick dollop of sweet potato puree, on top of a smooth bed of orh nee, and finished with vibrant gingko nuts for added texture.

To any of their yam pastes, there are options for adding extra toppings, such as Mochi ($0.50), Pumpkin ($1), or Ginkgo ($1), to your heart’s delight!

If you’re not feeling too adventurous, go straight for their signature Yam Paste with Gingko ($4.50 for 250g) that is covered in a thin layer of milky coconut cream and chewy gingko nuts—just like the ones you would eat at weddings! They also have Yam Paste with No Gingko ($13 for 1kg) for those who don’t fancy the pungent aroma of gingko nuts.

Fans of fried Yam Rings ($6.50 for 230g) will be delighted to know that Orhhsome also sells this popular zi char dish. Nestled in a crispy yam-filled ring are an assortment of ingredients such as prawns, vegetables, and meat. Completing the zi char look are the deep fried noodles strands surrounding this aromatic ring.

Finally, try the Orhhsome Bao ($9.50 for six), for a fluffy yam-flavoured bun filled to the brim with pleasantly sweet orh nee. This makes a convenient breakfast snack that you can enjoy on the go!
