Get Mini Bowls From $0.60 At This Popular Chinese Restaurant In JB

Pin Wan Wan Mini Bowl is a popular Chinese restaurant in JB

If you’re itching for some legit Chinese food in Johor Bahru without breaking the bank, check out Pin Wan Wan Mini Bowl! With outlets at KSL City Mall and Mount Austin, this popular eatery is known for its range of classic Chinese dishes served in single-portion ceramic bowls. Best of all, prices here are very affordable!

The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.30 as of 1 April 2025.

A must-try dish here is the Mapo Tofu (RM5+). Though it didn’t have that numbing spice one might expect, we enjoyed its rich, piquant flavour and, of course, the smooth, silky tofu.

Remember to pair the mapo tofu with either the Pearl Rice (RM2.20+) or Pearl Rice Porridge (RM2.20+), and watch as your carb of choice soaks up all that spicy goodness!

If spicy food isn’t your thing, we recommend you get the Marmite Chicken Cube (RM8+). Probably our favourite dish of the lot, this mini bowl was packed with flavourful marmite chicken that had a good balance of sweet and savoury flavours. The fact that each piece was bite-sized made it really easy to consume, too.

A good complement to the two aforementioned meat dishes is the Steamed Egg (RM2+), which was soft and silky. Also worth checking out are the ABC Soup (RM8+) and Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet (RM7+), among other homely picks at Pin Wan Wan.
