5 Quick Breakfast Recipes You Can Make In 10 Minutes Or Less For The Whole Fam

Quick breakfast dishes to whip up in less than 10 minutes

If, like me, you’re always hitting the snooze button for a few more minutes of shut-eye, making breakfast would probably be the last thing on your mind. However, we all know how moms are right about the importance of having breakfast. Prepping food doesn’t always have to take very long. Here are five tried-and-tested quick breakfast recipes that you can easily fit into your packed morning routine.

1. Kaya Cheese Toast (6 minutes)

Kaya and cheese should already be on the list of great food pairings, and what other way than to have it old-school, sandwiched with toast for a quick breakfast? The eggy coconut jam adds delicious sweetness while the cream cheese lends a rich, creamy texture to the sweet treat. If to eat lower-fat dishes is one of your resolutions this year, a great alternative to butter is cream cheese, which has 60% less fat*.

Ingredients:

2 slices bread
2 tablespoons kaya
¼ block PHILADELPHIA Original Cream Cheese OR
2 tablespoons PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese

Directions:

  1. Spread kaya on one slice of bread.
  2. Spread PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese on the other slice of bread and make a sandwich.
  3. Place sandwich on pan and allow the bread to toast on each side.
  4. When both sides look crispy and golden brown, cut the sandwich in half and serve.

2. Toast Roll (10 minutes)

These toast rolls are like a level up from churros. Chock-full of creamy goodness on the inside and covered in cinnamon sugar on the outside, this quick breakfast is sure to be a hit with many, especially kids. The recipe might sound complicated but is surprisingly easy. And if you’re the kind of person who never bakes, don’t go out and buy a rolling pin. Grab a wine bottle, wipe it down, and roll!

Ingredients:

5 slices bread
5 tablespoons PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk

Toppings (optional)

⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Directions:

  1. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin and cut off the crusts.
  2. Spread PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese along the edge of the bread and roll it up.
  3. Beat eggs and milk with a whisk.
  4. Dunk each roll-up into the mixture and pan-fry on a non-stick pan until roll is browned.
  5. Dust with cinnamon powder and sugar until roll is completely covered and serve.

3. Strawberry sandwich with cream cheese (5 minutes)

Slice up some strawberries and pair it with cream cheese for a breakfast packed with vitamins. Put a smile on someone’s face by preparing this sandwich for them, and catch their reaction when they realised you’ve surprised them with their favourite fruit. Drizzle on some maple syrup for a sweet pick-me-up.
