Ralph Lauren Cafe Is Now Open In MBS With SG-Exclusive Coffee Soft Serve And More

Ralph’s Coffee by Ralph Lauren is now open in Marina Bay Sands

Ralph’s Coffee has come to town! The cafe concept by popular American fashion label Ralph Lauren is now officially open on the first floor of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, bringing us not just their famous coffee, but also Singapore-exclusive menu items.

Ralph’s Coffee first opened to great fanfare in Manhattan back in 2014, with five more outlets domestically in USA, and 18 around the world to date, with this MBS outlet making 19.

If you’re on the hunt for Ralph’s Coffee internationally, you’ll find them in London, Munich, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Malaysia, and even Doha!

The space is done up in bright clean whites, accented with the cafe’s signature dark green aesthetic and wood trimmings.

A classic mosaic floor and vintage-y vibe completes the look; there are only three small tables for dining in.

If you’ve only got room for one treat, do yourself a favour and get Ralph’s Chocolate Cake ($14). This was ultra fudgy and super moist, and comes as a whopping four-layered cake—not quite the Five Layer Chocolate Cake you’ll find at other locations, but no less worth ordering.

Their Coconut Cake ($14) is also available here too, alongside a selection of New York-style cookies, brownies, and Blueberry Streusel Loaf Cake ($8.50).

Exclusive to Singapore is Ralph’s Coffee Soft Serve ($9), made on the premises with none other than Ralph’s Roast: the brand’s house blend of beans that promises bold flavours with deep chocolate notes. This was slightly icy on our visit, but it is their first day of operations after all, and they’ll be recalibrating their soft serve machine to improve its texture.

Other than the sweet stuff, Ralph’s Coffee has got three hefty sandwiches to stave off the hunger pangs too. Choose from Tuna Mayo ($15), Egg Mayo ($15) or Beef Pastrami ($16), all of which are heated up in a panini press to serve.

On the drinks front, there’s Hot Chocolate ($8), which is prepared with real Valrhona chocolate. It’s not super gao and rich like what you’d get at Parisian patisserie Angelina, which is also found in MBS, but rather more milky and drinkable.

But you really ought to try the Pineapple Shaken Tea ($8), another Singapore-exclusive, which starts with a base of jasmine green tea. Lightly floral and refreshing, this is a shoo-in for all the hot afternoons in this part of the world.

In other cafe news, Keong Saik Bakery has shifted operations, moving to a spanking new location in Bendemeer! The cafe has unique pastries such as muah chee croissant, along with their signature cruffins and burnt cheesecake.

Otherwise, check out our Common Man Night Shift review if you’re up for natural wines, and sourdough pizza with lao gan ma.
