Guangzhou Chain RUXU Opens At Tampines Mall With Traditional Chinese Desserts And Pastries

RUXU opens at Tampines Mall with famous desserts

Tampines folks, you no longer need to head to the city for your tong sui fix. Guangzhou dessert and bakery brand RUXU, which made its overseas debut at Funan, has set up a new outlet at Tampines Mall!

If you haven’t tried it yet, our RUXU Funan review covers what we thought of the egg tarts, buns, and dessert bowls.

The star of the menu is the Fresh Milk Ultimate Mix ($9.70), a share-worthy bowl of fresh milk loaded with toppings such as grass jelly, taro balls, and lotus seeds. Also under their signatures are the Premium Fresh Mango Pomelo Sago ($8.30) and the Yuan Yang Latte ($7.10), served in a 12oz cup.

For something baked, there’s the Caramel Custard Tart ($2.80), which we described as one of the best egg tarts in Singapore when we visited the Funan outlet.

Other highlights in the bakery lineup are the Pistachio Cheese Bun ($3.80) and  Cacao Rich Dark Chocolate Ganache Bun ($3.50).

Alternatively, fill up on the traditional dessert soups, including the Traditional Homemade Black Sesame Paste ($4.20), Osmanthus Almond Pudding ($4.40), and Freshly Ground Almond Paste ($4.80), all priced under $5.

Fans of silky milk custard can start with the Extra Thick Double-Layer Milk Custard ($4.60), or choose from flavoured versions including Mochi ($5.80) and Taro ($5.80).

If you’re craving something chilled, the shaved milk ice bowls start from $10.70, while there’s also a seasonal Intense Pistachio Paste ($9.40) to look out for.
