Singaporeans craving a fresh take on Korean comfort food now have a reason to head to Novena Square, where SAM SAM SAM (삼삼삼) has just opened its doors. The new restaurant brings a unique twist to the city’s dining scene by combining traditional samgyetang—Korea’s iconic ginseng chicken soup—with a playful wellness concept and a retro-inspired interior.

Walking in, diners are transported back to 1980s Seoul, with an interior modelled after a traditional Korean herbal medicine shop.

Wooden drawers, ceramic vessels, and dark timber surfaces evoke a space where ingredients are carefully stored and prepared, while pops of bold 1990s Korean sports visuals add a lively, nostalgic energy.

SAM SAM SAM sets itself apart by asking diners a simple question before they order: how does your body feel today? A short diagnostic quiz helps guests select the samgyetang bowl that best suits their needs, whether it’s daily recovery, boosting circulation, soothing fatigue, aiding digestion, or strengthening immunity. Each bowl is crafted around the traditional combination of chicken, ginseng, and jujube, slow-cooked with specific herbs to deliver a targeted wellness benefit.

The menu features several variations of Samgye Bansang, the signature ginseng chicken soup set, starting from $25++. Options include the Vitality Tonic ($25++) for everyday nourishment, Circulation Elixir ($25++) for improving circulation and skin vitality, Thermal Detox ($26++) for stress relief, and Immunity Black ($28++), a black garlic-enriched bowl for energy and immunity support.

Diners can also enjoy Samgye Kalguksu (price TBD), hand-pulled noodles in nourishing ginseng broth, and a variety of porridges, including chicken, dried pollack, and abalone options.
