Shake Shack To Launch New Dark Meat Hot Chicken Burger, Available Across All 8 Outlets

Shake Shack Dark Meat Hot Chicken

Heads up, Shake Shack fans: the famous American burger chain is launching a new Dark Meat Hot Chicken burger on 21 March 2022! Priced at $10.80, the all-new sandwich features a boneless, all-natural, cage-free chicken thigh, slow-cooked in a buttermilk marinade, and deep-fried to crispy perfection.

The chicken slab is hand-dipped into a special batter, and then coated in seasoned flour for extra flavour. Once it’s fresh out of the fryer, the meat is dusted with a hot pepper powder so you get a hit of spice.

Topped with Louisiana hot sauce slaw, which adds a touch of creaminess to cut through the spice, and dill pickles for a refreshing crunch, the fried chicken is sandwiched between Shake Shack’s signature potato buns.

Fun fact: the Dark Meat Hot Chicken was first launched in the U.S. as a limited-time offer in 2017, 2018, and 2020. The spicy sandwich was updated for Asia, and features chicken thigh instead of the original chicken breast.

For sides, a popular choice is the Cheese Fries ($5.90). The sauce here isn’t your regular nacho cheese; instead, it’s an addictive blend of cheddar and American cheese.

Another great burger to try is the Shack Stack ($15.20), which features a crispy deep-fried portobello mushroom filled with three kinds of cheese, and a single beef patty, smeared with the chain’s signature ShackSauce.

To cut through the greasiness, get the Singapore-exclusive Pandan Shake ($8.30), a sinful shake made with pandan, coconut, and gula melaka.

You can find the new Dark Meat Hot Chicken burger across all Shake Shack outlets from 21 March 2022.
