New in: SIDES, the famous fried chicken brand founded by the viral UK YouTube channel Sidemen, is coming to Singapore. Known for their Nashville-style fried chicken, this new opening marks the popular chain’s first Asian outpost.

For those who don’t know, Sidemen is a famous YouTube collective with a staggering subscriber count exceeding 22 million. Their channel, which largely revolves around sketches and challenges, has taken the online world by storm. SIDES is their venture into the food realm; the chain currently has five outlets across the UK.

On to the food: SIDES’ signature item is their double-dipped, double-coated fried chicken that’s crunchy, tasty, and said to be oh so satisfying. Though the Singapore menu remains under wraps, fried chicken fans can look forward to a lineup that mirrors the UK offerings.

Expect the likes of crispy wings, juicy tenders, and fried chicken burgers, served with sides including waffle fries, mac and cheese bites, onion rings, and cheese poppers. The UK menu sees plant-based treats, so we’re hoping these will be available here too.

Price-wise, the UK menu often keeps items under £10, which roughly translates to S$17.25. The SIDES outlets in the UK are also Muslim-friendly, so we’re hoping this Singapore outpost will be halal-certified, too.

We’re not sure when exactly SIDES Singapore will officially open, but the restaurant hoarding has recently been spotted at Bugis+ by netizens. Although they’re aiming for a grand opening in June 2025, the exact date is yet to be announced.
