If you’ve never been to Kampong Gelam, take this opportunity to learn about the original settlers of our little island, the Malay heritage, and ethnic Malay food, while walking through what was once the royal palace grounds. Discover the history of the Malay community with a professional guide, and finish the tour with lunch at Hajah Maimunah Restaurant, a Michelin-recognised establishment known for traditional, kampung-style cuisine. You’ll also get to take home a set of desserts from the local cake shop Edith Patisserie!

We’ve all grown up with the familiar aroma of kopi, and are well versed in the ordering of its many, varied permutations. This Singapore Food Festival, discover how your cup of kopi is made with this tour of the Kim Guan Guan factory. The traditional coffee roaster has been in business since 1988, and today supplies coffee and tea to more than 1,000 shops in Singapore. End your visit with a pairing of their drinks with specially curated snacks too!

There’s no better person to bring you on a tour of Singapore’s oldest streets than a trishaw uncle who’s spent years plying his trade to locals and tourists alike. The Singapore Vegan Fest is back for its third year, this time spread over 10 days from 27 August to 5 September. The planned activities for this year’s Vegan Fest span in-person events such as a physical marketplace at Swissotel the Stamford, masterclasses and demonstrations which will also be available virtually, exclusive dining events at partner restaurants, food tours by VegThisCity, and talks by local and international speakers.
Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, or non-vegan, this festival hopes to have something for everyone.
