Hotpot fiends, bookmark Spicy Bangkok Hotpot for your next meal. This new kid on the Chinatown block is a mere two-minute walk from Chinatown MRT Station, and serves a variety of Thai-style personal hotpots at affordable prices!

For instance, both the Sliced Fish with Tofu in Pepper Flavour Soup Base, as well as the Abundance Mushroom Soup, go at just $13.90+. Each item is served as a mini, single-serve hotpot, which means you don’t have to worry about having to share with your friends.

If you don’t mind spending a little more, go for the signature Tom Yum Goong Sliced Beef ($19.90+), featuring thinly sliced beef in an appetising hot and sour soup. Other popular soup options include the Classic Mala Shiokness! Soup Base and Sour Papaya with Golden Soup.

It also comes with free-flow rice, veggies, and soup refills, so you can eat to your heart’s content without breaking the bank. While each hotpot is said to be loaded with ingredients, you can add on extra toppings such as Handmade Shrimp Slide ($4.80+), Thai Tiger Prawns ($4.80+), and Soy Sliced Pork ($3.60+) for a full-on feast.

Quench your thirst with a side of Thai Milk Tea ($1.90+), or get their Mango Sticky Rice ($2.60+) to end on a sweet note.

For more delicious eats in Chinatown, visit Tong Heng, an 87-year-old bakery selling famous diamond-shaped egg tarts. Otherwise, head to Small Bites, an under-the-radar kiosk next to Maxwell MRT Station that sells cheap old-school waffles and handmade curry puffs!
