Spicy Wife Opens New Outlet In Orchard With 1-For-1 Nasi Lemak

Spicy Hubby opens at The Centrepoint with Nasi Ayam Gepuk

Popular Nasi Lemak stall Spicy Wife is bringing her husband into the picture. The stall, which opened in 2022, built a cult-like following at Amoy Street Food Centre for its aromatic nasi lemak and generous portions. Now it’s bringing those beloved flavours to The Centrepoint under a new name, Spicy Hubby, so you can check out the hype from the comfort of an air-conditioned mall.

Even better, the new eatery is holding a 1-for-1 opening promotion between 16 October and 18 October, so grab a friend and don’t miss out!

Menu-wise, Spicy Hubby features the brand’s signature dish alongside two exclusive new dishes. The signature Nasi Goreng Ayam Berempah ($9.90) comes with fried chicken, coconut rice, and a dollop of sambal sauce. The highlight is the crispy and fragrant chicken, said to be marinated overnight in a rempah of eight ingredients.

While classics are hard to beat, the new dishes sound just as good—the Nasi Rendang Ayam ($12.90) features rendang chicken slow-cooked in a thick coconut gravy, while the Nasi Ayam Gepuk ($12.90) features hand-pounded, marinated fried chicken that’s said to be tender yet crisp and bursting with flavour.

You can also spice up your meal with a variety of sides. Options include XL Otak ($4.90), a grilled fish paste, Fried Tempe ($4.90), fermented soybeans, Okra Curry ($2.90), Fried Sunny Side Up ($1.50), Curry Fish Ball ($6.90) and more.

For some extra crunch, consider the Long Bean Sambal ($2.90), Fried Prawn Cracker ($1.90), and Fried Shrimp Roll ($6.90).

Wash it all down with a refreshing Sparkling Calamansi for $4.90.
