Get Stretchy Turkish Ice Cream At This New 24/7 Cafe Near Kembangan MRT

Stretch by Unifive sells stretchy ice cream in Kembangan

Easties, there’s a new kid on the block to check out this weekend. Stretch by Unifive, a mere five-minute walk from Kembangan MRT Station, is the latest addition to the east side hood. The new halal-friendly cafe sells stretchy ice cream, also known as booza, a special type of ice cream that originated in the Middle East.

A single scoop of their handcrafted ice cream goes for $4.90, while a double scoop costs $8.90. Premium flavours require a top-up of $1 each. Choose from interesting options such as Rose Pistachio, a rose-spiked flavour studded with pistachio bits, and the Cookie Monster, a blue-tinged flavour starring Oreo crumbs and house-made cookies.

If you’ve had Turkish ice cream, you’ll know that its texture is rather unique: it’s stretchy and chewy, but slightly icy at the same time. Stretch’s renditions are not too sweet or artificial-tasting, so you can have more without feeling jelak!

Pair your stretchy ice cream with their Waffles ($6.90), which comes in a cute box of three.

Otherwise, the cafe also has Croffles ($6.90) for you to enjoy alongside the frozen treats.

If you want something savoury, check out their small selection of all-day breakfast items, including an Egg Mayo Croissant ($7.90) and Ham & Cheese Croissant ($8.90).

There’s a good handful of beverages to choose from too, so you can get your caffeine fix here. Go for a classic Iced Latte ($6.90) or Iced Matcha Latte ($7.90). Otherwise, try out their selection of teas, priced from $5.90.

Do note that Stretch by Unifive is currently in their soft launch phase and will only operate 24/7 from 17 July onwards. For now, the opening hours are 11am to 2am daily.
