We love supporting home-based businesses, especially when it’s a concept as novel as The Sunday Bunch. This is a home cafe based out of a landed house in Fernvale, Sengkang, where diners are hosted for themed brunches in the family’s front yard.
Bookings must be made in advance and spots are limited. The concept takes reservations off Google forms posted regularly to their IG page, so keep an eye out if you’re interested. They’re only open every second and fourth Sunday of the month.
Menus change according to the month. In October, the menu was themed around dumplings. Taiwanese food followed in November, and December is all about fresh pastries!

There are three items on the menu. There’s a Miso Garlic Butter Mushroom ($6), where a portobello mushroom baked in savoury garlic butter, topped by flaky pastry.
For those who prefer a bit of heat, get the Spiced Sausage ($7), a riff on the sausage roll. Salted Caramel Poached Pears ($5) round out the trip, with jammy poached caramel pears as the hero of this pastry.

You can choose from a selection of drinks to pair with your pastries. There’s a line-up of cold brews from $4, filter coffee for $5, and hot chocolates as well, made with single-origin cocoa, for $6!

You’ll dine amidst verdant houseplants, with vinyl records playing in the background. To help you stay comfortable in the heat, each table has a fan, as well as free-flow iced cold water.
Do note that the address is only revealed once your booking is confirmed.
For more new spots to dine at, check out our list of new restaurants and cafes in December. If you’re looking for dining options in the area, we’ve got a North-east cafe guide too!
Opening hours: 10am to 4pm (every second and fourth Sunday only)
