We love discovering hidden gem bakeries in old neighbourhoods and estates, so when we chanced upon Tian Bakehouse, we knew we had to check them out.
Located at the bustling Hong Lim Complex, just a short walk from Chinatown MRT Station, the new bakery specialises in all things bread: think shio pan, sandwiches, and sourdough loaves.
What’s more, CDC Vouchers are accepted here—even more reason to pop by and carb-load for “free”!
Prices are kept affordable too, starting at just $2.40 for a plain Shio Pan. The salt bread is baked with a crisp, buttery bottom and golden-brown crust, giving way to soft and pillowy layers of bread.
You’ll also find interesting renditions of this trendy bake, including Kaya ($2.60), Red Bean ($2.60), Lemon ($2.80), and Pistachio ($3).
Besides shio pan, the bakery offers a small selection of fresh bakes, ranging from Sourdough Slice Avocado Sandwich ($3.60) to Potato Bacon Cheese ($2.80) and Coffee ($2.40) buns.
If you love sourdough, consider buying a loaf of the Shermaine Sourdough ($10) for DIY toasties at home!
According to the brand’s Instagram page, you can grab coffee here, too. We’ll update this article once we have more information!
