Tiger Sugar Has New Ultra-Limited Edition Taiwanese Black Sugar Lava Tang Yuan Series

Tiger Sugar Lava Tang Yuan

This year’s Winter Solstice, or Dong Zhi, falls on Monday, 21 December─the day with the shortest day and longest night each year. It heralds the official start of winter, and this auspicious day is traditionally celebrated with the eating of glutinous rice balls, commonly known as tang yuan. If you’re looking for tang yuan with a difference, celebrate 2020’s Winter Solstice with Tiger Sugar’s ultra-limited Taiwanese Black Sugar Lava Tang Yuan Series!

Completely sold out at its pre-orders in Taiwan and Hong Kong, Tiger Sugar Singapore has brought in very limited quantities of these Black Sugar Lava Tang Yuan. They’re available for pre-order from now till 16 December via direct message on Tiger Sugar’s Instagram and Facebook pages, while stocks last.

The Black Sugar Lava Tang Yuan are available in two flavours: Black Sugar Sesame Lava Rice Ball and Black Sugar Salted Egg Custard Lava Rice Ball. Both the tang yuan feature lava fillings in a signature black sugar-infused glutinous rice ball skin.

They’re available in Combo Gift Pack sets, each comprising 10 Black Sugar Sesame Lava, and 10 Black Sugar Salted Egg Custard Lava tang yuan. These sets of 20 balls are priced at just $9.90, and you’re only permitted to order three sets.

Do note that delivery is not available for these Black Sugar Lava Tang Yuan. Rather, you’ll have to indicate your preferred outlet for collection. You’ll be able to pick up your order from 17 December, although they will notify you if it’s ready for collection sooner than that.

Outside of this upcoming, ultra-limited launch, CHICHA San Chen now has taro bubble tea, with taro balls. Burger King has also released new Mashed Up Fries, which legitimises our dipping of French fries in ice cream. Get this now, and KFC’s Marshmallow Chocolate Hazelnut Egg Tarts while they’re around!
