Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari Is An Exclusive Glamping-Themed Cafe At Dempsey

Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari in Dempsey

Get ready for your Instagram to be flooded with shots of Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari, as this new cafe is set to be the talk of the town. Located in the same compound as Open Farm Community, TBB Safari brings garden dining to the next level with its exotic safari tent set up – all in the heart of the city.

The space is inspired by the founder’s trip to Botswana, and while I’ve not been to Southern Africa, this glamping paradise makes up for my lack of travels. Tastefully decked up, each piece of furniture is carefully picked to ensure it mirrors the real deal, from the vintage rugs to the collection of taxidermy butterflies.

Outdoor dining is great and all, until it rains. Thankfully, the canvas tent is 100% rainproof, so you won’t get soaked even if it’s raining cats and dogs.

Similar to its ambience, the menu here is interesting, with exclusive drinks and power breakfast jars. In fact, most of the ingredients feature herbs and spices grown from the connecting garden, adding on to the naturalistic experience.

Brighten your Instagram feed with the Tumeric Latte and Beetroot Latte ($6.50 each). The former taste similar to teh halia, with a punchy hit of spicy notes that will invigorate your senses.

If you’re coming by for a light breakfast, order the Rolled Oats with Sesame and Pineapple ($8.80) that’s nutty and refreshing. The Tapioca Coconut Papaya ($8.50) is a hot favourite, thanks to its milky sago base.

Of course, Tiong Bahru Bakery is nothing without their selection of French pastries. Find comfort in the usual suspects, such as the Ham & Cheese Croissant ($7.50) and Brie & Roasted Mushroom Croissant ($8.50).

Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari opens to public on 16 November 2018, so you know where to go for brunch this weekend.
