For Japanese food lovers, Shokutsu Ten is pretty much the place to go if you’re looking to get your fill of oishii Japanese nosh, whether it’s crispy karaage or fresh kaisendon. You find this so-called food street at two locations: Jurong Point and NEX—with each having their own army of Japanese restaurants.

From 4 to 5 June 2019, fried chicken lovers will wanna head down to NEX’s Shokutsu Ten for the $0.80 Nagoya Chicken Wings promo offered by Tokyo Eater.

Each customer is limited to a maximum of 10 wings per purchase, so if you’re looking to have a hearty feast, be sure to drag a few friends along for the ride.

These wings are a take on the famous Nagoya-style tebasaki (wings tips) which are staples in izakaya restaurants all around Japan. Unlike standard karaage, these munchies have zero breading and are dipped in a sweet soy based glaze after frying.

Such unique bites seem to be the norm at Tokyo Eater. After all, they used to carry a delish Mentai Mayo Cheese Croquette that’s doused in rich mentaiko mayo sauce and melted cheese. Unfortunately, items here are rotated every six months, which means you can no longer sink your teeth into this crispy delight.

What you can get, however, are their new chicken dishes, cooked in different styles from the different prefectures such as Hokkaido Fried Chicken (from $3.90), Oita Chicken Tempura (from $3.90) and Miyazaki Chicken Nanban (from $4.90).

Once you’re done with your meal, take the escalator down to B2 and quench your thirst with TaiGai.

The Taiwanese bubble tea chain has a slew of refreshing drinks like the Pulpy Strawberry Kiss that’s topped with creamy cheese foam. The combination of sweet and sour flavours from the tea will ease your tummy from the savouriness of all that fried chicken!

Address: 23 Serangoon Central, #B1-80, NEX, Singapore 556083
Opening hours: 11am to 10pm daily
