If you love waffles with ice cream, you may have come across Twenty Grammes, a popular dessert cafe in Bugis known for their wide range of ice cream and waffle flavours.

Choose from four waffle flavours: Buttermilk ($8), Yuan Yang ($8.50), Charcoal ($8.50), and Mochi ($9). Their mochi waffles are a bestseller for good reason; each piece is said to boast a light and crispy edge with a chewy middle, thanks to the addition of mochi to the batter.

Top your waffle with your choice of ice cream, priced at $4.50 for standard flavours and $5.50 for premium. If one scoop isn’t enough, opt for two or more—your subsequent scoops will respectively cost $4 and $5 each.  For your ice cream, choose from a nice assortment of flavours including Peanut Butter Gula Melaka, Blueberry Cheesecake, Nama Chocolate, and Tokyo Banana.

There are plated desserts too, if you’re not in the mood to DIY. The Smores Waffle ($16), comprising fresh buttermilk waffles, torched marshmallows, chocolate ice cream, and whipped cream, is a signature item on the menu. Else, order the Hojicha Soft Serve on Waffle ($11) if you’re big on hojicha desserts!

Besides ice cream and waffles, those with a sweet tooth can also try their lineup of tarts and cakes over at the glass display.

Popular cakes include Lychee Rose Cake ($7.90) and Burnt Cheesecake ($7.90), or you can go for their IG-worthy tartlets in flavours such as Genmaicha ($8.90) and Candied Walnut ($8.90).

Twenty Grammes is an eight-minute walk from Bugis or Jalan Besar MRT Station. The cafe doesn’t have much seating space, so we recommend visiting during off-peak hours to snag a table. They’re also open till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, great for late-night suppers!
