Famous for their Thai milk tea crepe cakes, Two Bake Boys has recently turned to brick-and-mortar retail with their first takeout shop at Lavender. Located on the first floor of CT Hub 2, the outlet is flanked by a driveway, allowing their central kitchen to double up as a drive-through for customers as well.

Established on 1 July 2020, Two Bake Boys started off as an Instagram bakery, selling Thai Milk tea crepe cakes. The success of their home-based business since then landed the family in the position to venture full-time into baking, and opening a physical store.

Their Thai Tea Crepe Cake goes at $7.20 per slice or $45 for a whole 16cm cake. Every layer of the cake is thoroughly infused with Thai milk tea flavours, ensuring you have the unmistakable cha yen kick in every bite. Each order also comes with a rich, creamy Thai milk tea drizzle, which makes for a boomerang-worthy experience.

Their menu has also expanded to include 10 different mille crepe flavours. These include a Taro Crepe Cake ($7.40 per slice), which infuses a fragrant and nutty flavour of the local perennial favourite, orh nee, into a melt-in-the-mouth crepe cake.

If you find yourself spoiled for choices, then get their TBB Big Box Set 8 ($56), which comes with eight slices of crepe cake, comprising Thai tea, Thai green tea, tiramisu, Thai rose tea, taro, chocolate, sesame, and vanilla flavours, so you can get the best of all worlds.

Other than cakes, their store also serves various gelato flavours such as Blue Pea Lemongrass ($5 per scoop), which combines the beautiful blue hue of butterfly pea with a distinct lemongrass flavour found in many Thai dishes.

Do note that the Two Bake Boys’ bakes are fully booked online till 14 June 2021. The outlet is still open for takeaways but quantities are limited.
