New in: there’s a new kid in town that goes by the name of Ugly Cones. To celebrate their launch at Wisma Atria, the ice cream kiosk is giving out 200 free ice cream cones on 8 December 2023, from 10am onwards. Make sure you head down stat to get your hands on a free cone, as it’s only available for the first 200 customers in line!

The ice cream kiosk is run by the same team behind the popular Asylum Coffeehouse in Jalan Besar. The Orchard store shares the same space as Asylum: The Coffee Library, which is also new.

All you need to do is head to the ordering kiosk, key in the promo code “CONERULEZ“, and you’ll get to enjoy your free ice cream cone if you’re one of the lucky first 200 people.

At Ugly Cones, the cone is the highlight. Their Original Umami Cone is said to be a savoury and umami-packed cone that complements their small range of Japanese-inspired ice cream flavours: Chokorēto (chocolate), Ichigo (Japanese strawberry), and Miruku-ame (Hokkaido milk, Madagascar vanilla, and mizuame, a sweetener from Japan).
You get to build your own dessert here. The free cone option is only applicable to Combo 1 ($7.50), which sees a scoop of ice cream atop the waffle. There’s also the option to top up for mini mochi balls (+$2.50) or Japanese jelly (+$2), both handmade in-house. If you’d like to purchase a different dessert, Combo 2 ($9.50) comes with an extra scoop of ice cream, while Combo 3 ($12.50) includes the mochi and Japanese jelly.
