The cat is out of the bag: Uncle Roger will open his first restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in September 2024! Called Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger, the new restaurant will be located at Pavilion Elite KL, a shopping centre in Bukit Bintang.

In case you didn’t know, Uncle Roger, also known as Nigel Ng, is a famous comedian and YouTube personality who shot to fame four years ago when he critiqued an egg fried rice video by BBC Food. He currently has over 9 million subscribers on his YouTube channel!

The internet star first teased his new restaurant in a YouTube video he posted about a month ago. Just a few days ago, KL Foodie posted an exclusive on Instagram revealing the location of the new restaurant.

According to the restaurant’s official Instagram page, one can look forward to Uncle Roger’s famous egg fried rice, which he previously demonstrated in another Youtube video. His version of fried rice is prepared “with feeling”—or “agaration” in Singaporean lingo—fried over a wok with a quintessential dash of MSG for umami.

There isn’t much information on this new opening at the moment, so in the meantime, do follow Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger’s Instagram page for the latest updates.
