Fans of Japanese hamburg steaks, take note: Yamamoto’s Hamburg is opening its first Singapore outlet at Lau Pa Sat, and most hamburg mains on the menu come in under $20.
Known in Japan as “Yamahan,” the brand will soft launch on 22 September 2026, ahead of its official opening on 5 October 2026.
For those who don’t know, Yamamoto’s Hamburg was founded in Ebisu, Tokyo, in 2005 and now has around 20 outlets across Japan. The brand is the brainchild of Shohei Yamamoto, who’s also behind the cult-favourite hamburg steak joint Hikiniku To Come, which opened in Singapore back in May.
At the centre of the menu is the signature Yamamoto Hamburg ($19.90), a hand-formed beef patty stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese and mushroom cream sauce, finished with a demi-glace infused with miso and dashi.
Other hamburg options include the Jikasei Hamburg ($17.90), a hot pot-style Kimchi Cheese Hamburg ($19.90) simmered in kimchi broth with melted cheese, and lighter picks such as the Goma Yuzu Ponzu ($15.90) and Oni Oroshi Ponzu ($15.90), with additional sauce variations including tomato and garlic yuzu-pepper.
Singapore also gets an exclusive chicken patty (price TBD), made fresh in-house, giving diners a lighter alternative to the usual beef and pork blend hamburg.
Every Rice Set ($3.90) or Salad Set ($4.90) comes with a complimentary tasting portion of Yamahan’s house-made vegetable juice, blended daily from seasonal fruits and vegetables, with the option to upsize for an extra $2.50.
